What did you want to become when you were a little kid?

When I was small, I said to people that I wanted to be an astrophysicist.

Actually, I didn’t know what that meant. I was too small to know what it meant. But I remember what it meant *to me*. I saw a TV programme with a man who was talking about the stars, and it said that the man was an astrophysicist.

I thought that meant he was a star scientist – someone who KNEW about the stars, and not in the sense of that they’re made of gas or stuff like that at all, but what they really were in a much wider and far more esoteric sense.

I still carry that original desire to “know what the stars are” with me – my company is called The StarFields Network to this day, for example, and in many ways, what we do and the products we deal with are of that nature, still relating to that original enquiry I had as a small child to “know the stars”.

I think that the success of my company has something to do with that original energy which keeps me going through ups and downs and the daily details, forward, upward and onward, always.

So today, I would like you to consider how what you are doing now is related to that essence of what you wanted or found exciting and worthwhile when you were still small. There is something truly magical and amazing about those things, something pure, powerful and profound. See if you can touch that, remember that still and how it is playing out in your business today – and how, if you were to allow it to happen, that magic from back then can help you shine far brighter now, today.
