Ah, one of those “all time favourite sayings of the wise men” …

And one of those that play havoc in our neurology if that’s believed as a “truth” about life and a person then tries to make their way in the world in any sense of the word, with business and financial success being nothing but the tip of the iceberg.

The fact is that in every way, we are constantly lending and borrowing – all things are connected, everything is in flow and no-one owns nothing in the end, it’s all an illusion anyway – LOL.

But the above statement is fun, and what we do need to remember is where that came from. A character in a Shakespeare play said it; a guy who was found skulking behind a tapestry in a lady’s bedroom and ended up being skewered for his troubles.

He came to no good end and was certainly not a fountain of the wisdom of all times.

However, there is something else we can do with the above statement, and that is to re-state it in the form of a modern affirmation, and that’s what we will do today.

“I am going to be an EXCELLENT lender and an OUTSTANDING borrower. This is my will.”

Say the above out aloud and then take 60 seconds to reflect on how the ability to both borrow and lend in a smart way will help YOUR business succeed to give you what you want it to.
